Precision 530 upgrade from Dual Xenon 1.7Ghz to the fastest possible

I want to upgrade my Precison 530 (Service Tag 6PPH70J) with the fastest dual processors that I can put in. Which one are these? Where do I get them from?

You already have the fastest Foster Xeons CPUs, your motherboard can accept. To get Prestonia class CPUs (1.8 - 3.0 GHz) you need to upgrade your motherboard to 3N384:

Oops! I forgot that there is a 2.0GHz Foster CPU:

Look for SL5TH on eBay. This is the fastest CPU you can get for the Foster class motherboard.

What do I need to upgarde to the two 2.0ghz cpu from one 1.4 ghz cpu.

Do I have to reinstall the os as well?

When looking in the box I notice a slot next to the cpu what is that for?

I'm going to open up a nasty can of worms, ask what it will take to replace the dual Xeon systemboard with an aftermarket (AMD) systemboard.  Does the powersupply have standard connectors?  I don't mind making custom connections for the front panel connections but has anybody else tried this?
