TPM not available on GX280
We purchased a used GX280 from Boeing via Spirit AeroSystems. We installed Windows XP and updated BIOS to latest level (A08). We keep getting error messages about TPM not active. I looked through DELL info and found how to start up TPM. Syetem Setup / Security does not have an entry for TPM. TPM is not mentioned anywhere in the Setup system. How do I get TPM working?

I'm having the exact same issue. When I go into the BIOS and I key down to "Security" There's no option called TPM.

Hi there,
Not all GX280s shipped with TPMs - it was an optional extra at point of purchase and also was determined by the motherboard version. It's more than likely that your system was never purchased with the optional extra.
I've sent you a friend request - if you can accept me as a friend and send me a private message with your service tag, I'll see if I can determine whether or not your system should have a TPM or not.
