Upgrading video card to play Battlefield 3

I have an Inspiron 350, and I would love to play battlefield 3. Unfortunately it's not working on my ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT (which does run DirectX 11..)

I just have no idea which videocard to buy, and which one fits (there's not that much more room in the inspiron 350 for a bigger video card)

These are my pc specifics:

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E8500 @ 3.16GHz

Mainboard : Dell 0K216C

Chipset : Intel P31/P35

Memory : 3072MB DDR2-SDRAM (4 DIMMs)

Video Card : ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT
Power supply: max. 300W

I want to buy one for max around €100,
any recommendations?

Thanks in advance!

I have not heard of an Inspiron 350.  The HD 2600 XT is only a Direct X10 card.  If you want a video card to play Battlefield 3 well, you will have to upgrade your power supply.  Staying with what you have, you can go with an HD 5670 and run the game at lower quality settings.

Did you mean the Inspiron D530? If yes, the 300w power supply will not suffice for the AMD Radeon HD5670. You will need to upgrade the power supply.

I'm sorry, I did mean the Inspiron 530 indeed.

So I also need to upgrade the power supply?

If I do upgrade the power supply, what possibilities of better videocards do I have?

PCIe x16 - Radeon HD5670, Radeon HD4670, Radeon HD4650, maybe some of the mid range newer Nvidia cards.

The 6670 should make do with your existing power supply; it does not need an extra power connector and is uses between 5% and 10% less power than the 5670. Its performance is similar to that of the older nVidia 8800GT.

I had a 6570, its less powerful brethren, working in a mini-ITX case with a 220-watt power supply.

hmm oke.

which one of those 2 would you suggest:

www.alternate.nl/.../598649

(with 2048 mb capacity, but with 1600Mhz)

or

www.alternate.nl/.../580725

(with  1024 mb capacity, with 4000 Mhz)

Either one would be fine, me thinks.

I would get the 2nd one with GDDR5 memory.  I will be better and faster.  You don't need 2GB on this particular card.
