XPS 420 dual video card viability
Can the motherboard on the 420 support dual video cards and SLI/crossfire?

You can however, buy the new video cards that crossfire/SLI internally (dual GPU's) and use them in the single slot. Dell offers one of these (ATI) with their high end build models. If you have a X16 enabled PCIe slot, it would be an advantage for a single GPU MBO. Jury is still out for me n whether it would be worth the cost at this point as the cards are relatively new (thus expensive). I believe that the X38i MOBO of the XPS420 support them all.
