inspiron 530s
My dell desktop turns on and after the dell logo display the picture goes away and I am stuck with a black screen. Any idea what causes that and if it is the motherboard issue?
Any suggestions anybody

No error messages at all.
The power button LED is blue and constant not blinking
No beeps
Like I said it goes to the dell logo and after that the screen goes blank and stays like that.

Are there any error messages, if there are, please post the exact text of them.
What is the reading of the power button LED, Steady Blue, Blinking Blue, Steady Amber, Blinking Amber or is it Off?
Are there any 'Beeps', if there are, check the 'Beep' codes in the following link?

There's not much diagnostic information to troubleshoot the 530s with.
Try removing all the peripherals from the 530s, except the mouse, keyboard and monitor and see if this makes a difference.
