How do I size an EMC ECS Appliance for HDFS analytics use with Pivotal?

Each ECS Appliance server has a dual 4-core IvyBridge with 64 GB memory per node. But actually, you need to run the Pivotal Compute nodes separately, so you don¹t need a lot of compute in ECS Appliance, you need mostly read throughput. At the end of the year, it¹ll be possible to run Pivotal HD (the compute piece) in ECS Appliance and by the same time, there will be new ECS Appliance nodes with a higher compute/storage ratio.
