Accelerate Your Skills Transformation in Cloud Computing and Big Data Analytics

EMC announces new education solutions for Cloud Computing and Big Data Analytics

Today, EMC issued an announcement of its new 'open' curriculum-based EMC Proven Professional training and certifications to help professionals develop strong skills for cloud computing and for the emerging role of the Data Scientist or Big Data Analyst.

Virtualization and cloud computing have changed the way companies look at their IT infrastructure and service models. CIOs know that quickly and effectively adopting new technologies will strengthen their competitive position. As they continue to transition to highly virtualized cloud environments, IT professionals across all domains are required to understand the concepts and principles of virtualization and cloud infrastructure technologies.

Cloud Infrastructure and Services (CIS) and EMCCIS Certification

Develop a strong understanding of technical and business concepts with this new course. The learning also prepares you for EMC Proven Professional - EMCCIS certification at the Associate level. Based on the NIST definition/model of cloud, this course is suitable for ALL technical IT professionals who want to learn about highly virtualized cloud infrastructure as well as deployment and service models. This essential course and certification will enable professionals to make informed decisions on migration to the cloud.

IT-as-a-Service (ITaaS) Planning and Design and Cloud Architect Expert (EMCCAe) Certification

An advanced-level course, and associated expert-level certification, for developing deep planning and desiging skills for architects, designers, and cloud consultants. It builds upon the specialist-level Cloud Architect (Virtualized Infrastructure) training and certification announced in December 2010. The Cloud Architect track is ideally suited for architects whose planning and design responsibilities are rapidly expanding to include cloud computing all the way to IT-as-a-Service, as well as Service Providers who are establishing cloud based service offerings for their customers.

Data Science and Big Data Analytics and Data Science Associate (EMCDSA) Certification

The enormous growth of digital information, increasing sources/types of data, and dominance of unstructured and semistructured data are prompting businesses to rapidly deploy big data analytics to drive informed decisions and create competitive advantage. The industry is already facing a severe shortage of skilled professionals for big data analytics. The Data Science and Big Data Analytics course, leading to Data Science Associate (EMCDSA) certification, takes a hands-on practitioner‘s approach to the foundational techniques and tools required for data science and big data analytics. The main objective of this training is to enable immediate and effective participation on big data and other analytics projects.

These new certifications meet a necessary requirement to enable organizations to migrate to a robust cloud infrastructure, establish IT-as-a-Service, and apply Data Science tools and technologies to Big Data Analytics. For further details please visit education.EMC.com - we will be very happy to clarify or respond to any questions or inquiries you may have.

Best wishes,

Alok

Great to know that , the wait is now over

However, I was bit disappointed going through the pre requisite knowledge.

I do not have any experiance in scripting and the knowledge of SQL as am from Storage Domain working for supporting EMC products .

I can still go and learn the scripting knowledge and SQL , but am worried as this may take more time now,  in understanding the Data Analysis subject .

Could anyone please advice, guide and suggest on how to go about in preparing for this exam?

Hi Guruprasad,

Did you have a chance to take the practice test for the E20-007 Data Science and Big Data Analytics Exam? It is a great way to identify the areas you need to focus your studies.
