E20-280 convertion to EMCIE Backup and Recovery – Avamar Specialist

Hi,
I'm an EMC Proven professional and I've been one of last certified, on Jul 13 2010, of exam E20-280 Avamar Backup and Data Deduplication Exam,
I prepared the exam 2 month earlier buying the relative VILT course.
Just few time erlier of the exam I received a message from EMC Education that advice that exam E20-280 will be changed in E20-594 after Jul 15 2010.

The link is still available at : https://community.emc.com/docs/DOC-6480 .
I quote a little note you can find at point C. of above advice :

Best of all, as an already Avamar certified EMC Proven Professional, you will be granted an EMCIE Backup and Recovery – Avamar Specialist credential after July 16, 2010 - provided that you hold a valid EMC Proven Professional Associate-level credential.

Initally I supposed, been already an EMC Proven Professional because I was previously certified on other product, that I would have get automatically the EMCIE Backup and Recovery - Avamar Specialist qualification.

Only recently they explained me that "Associate-level" attributes associate to Proven Professional means pass E20-001 or E20-005.

Now my question is : if I passed any of the two Associate-level exam I'm still on time to be granted EMCIE Backup and Recovery – Avamar Specialist as reported, again at point C. of above explanation link :

If you do not have a valid EMC Proven Professional Associate-level certification, we recommend that you look into Information Storage and Management (ISM) training and certification exam (E20-001). Click here to findout more about the ISM certification.

Thank you

Best regards

Hello Andrea - once you meet the Associate Level certification requirement, you will receive the Implementation Engineer, Backup and Recovery - Avamar Specialist Version 5.0 (EMCIE) Certification.

Your CertTracker account shows which exams and/or credential titles will led to specific certifications. This information is found under Certification progress. The qualifying Associate certifications for the IE, Backup and Recovery - Avamar Specialist certification are the EMCISA (E20-001) and EMCBA (E20-005) which are both available.

Good luck!

Hi Debi, thank you.
I'm happy to be on time. My problem was Avamar contents hidden on my PowerLink because IE credential lack.
I hope giving exam E20-005 and obtaining IE Avamar credential to unlock these resources on PowerLink.
How can I prepare myself for E20-005 ? I bought an Avamar VILT package, but no Associate-level elearning was included because it wasn't in the IE path yet.
Thank you
