Journey From Docker To Kubernetes
Containers have changed the way applications are packaged, distributed, and deployed in the modern data center. They offer a lighter, more agile alternative to virtual machines for isolation between applications. The ease of building and running containers has led to very high density application deployments, which in turn has driven a need for more robust tools for container management.
In this Knowledge Sharing article, Eshwar Chandra focuses on container technology and how it's emerging as an important part of the cloud computing infrastructure. Eshawar’s article examines Docker, an open source project that automates the faster deployment of Linux applications, and Kubernetes, an open source cluster manager for Docker containers.
