Looking for advise

Dear Experts/Specialists,

I have planned to engage with Storage/Backup&Recovery concept, so I decided to study and join exams of below certificates :

• E10-001 Information Storage and Management Version 2 “Associate”.

• E20-005 Backup Recovery Systems and Architecture “Associate”.

• E20-027 Enterprise Backup Recovery Specialist for Data Center Architects “Specialist”.

• E20-026 Enterprise Storage Networking Specialist for Data Center Architects “Specialist”.

Please let me know your advises/feedback about this planning.

Regards,

Mubarak

Mubarak - have you viewed the exam description documents for each exam?  This document highlights what is covered on the exam, the recommended curriculum and a link to the online practice test.  Once you feel you are prepared for the exam, the practice test can be helpful to gauge your readiness.  A list of all EMC Proven Professional exam descriptions can be found here.

Hi m-it,

it looks good, EMCISA and EMCBA are both associate level for storage and backup & recovery technology. E20-027 & E20-026 are specialist level exams, You can have both backup & recovery and storage knowledge after completing those exams. E20-027 focus on storage networking design rather than in side of storage array  Will you consider take part in any products related exam as well? It will help you understanding products specific knowledge which is much hands on experiences.

Hi Debi,

I was wondering if you can help me out with an issue I am having. I don't know where to find help

I am following three communities by ECN(Proven Professional, Symmetrix, and another one) The problem is that I am not receiving any mail in my inbox since 10 days ago... I have alredy asked to my Lotus administrator to find out if they have restricted any mail belonging to @emc.com but they don't. I used to received normally all activity of communities but I am not receiving any mails anymore

Thanks in advance

If you’re having trouble with ECN email updates, you should contact ecn_support@emc.com .

Please, check if your setting for the community you follow are as below. If yes, you should receive email notifications.

Ankit I am following in two streams but I don't receive email notifications, and what is more strange is that I used to, and didn't touch anything on ECN parameters

- Check your Spam Folder.

- If its not the case, Stop following - Refresh the Window (Log Out/Log in) and Follow again, It should work as it will take following as a new Follow.

I ran this issue by the ECN Admin team, and they found another cause for this issue--you may have accidentally turned off the actual email notifications. To check if your notifications are one, click on the Home button at the far left of the nav bar (shaped like a house) and look at the list of your activity streams. Find the stream that you want to turn on notifications for (i.e. Connections Stream) and click on the gear next to it, then select "Edit." In the next screen, look at the grey bar over the suggested list of people and places. You will see "Email Notifications" in the grey bar, with a button next to it. If the button is grey, the notifications are off. Click the button to turn it green and enable email notifications. If you have multiple streams, you might want to check each of them.

Hi Kate,

Thanks for your answer, I appreciate it.-

I did what you told me, I wrote an e-mail to support tema twice and never reply back

fortunately I checked and figured this option out bymy self and e mail updates was off, so I turned it back on and I started receiving ECN updates again.-

The strangest thing is that I stop receiving updated by may 28th, and I never set this flag after or before that date, as a mattter of fact I didn't even know that it existed, I thought that I only have to "click" the available options in connections stream in order to receive email notifications, but looks like it doesn't, anyway the issue is fixed,

Thanks a lot
