Managing Information Storage - Trends, Challenges, and Options 2011- 2012 Survey

The EMC Proven Professional Program is proud to once again sponsor this valuable survey.  It is our 5th year of sponsorship.  The survey is one of many initiatives we support to help the industry bridge the IT knowledge gap resulting from the growing digital universe.  The results of this survey are used by IT managers and storage professionals worldwide for business planning.

So make your contribution to the industry now.  It only takes 15 to 20 minutes to complete. You take it anonymously.  All your answers are held in confidence and used by EMC for research and planning purposes.

 
The survey is open to all non-EMC employees in IT management or individual contributor positions. Your company does not need to be an EMC customer for you to participate.

As a thank you for sharing your insights and participation you will get a written summary of the results.  In addition, the first 1000 respondents to complete the survey will receive a 2011 wall calendar (please allow 4 – 6 weeks for delivery).

2010 Survey Findings

One of several points highlighted by last year’s study was the impact the economic down-turn had on storage professionals.  The most severe impact was faced by 11% of the managers (companies) who had to re-skill their entire team as a result of reorganizations, reductions etc. This is up from 7% the previous year.
