Anurag Mittal’s interest in IT began when he got his first computer, powered by a Pentium II CPU. This interest never waned, eventually leading him to major in Electrical Engineering and Electronics at university and shortly thereafter, join EMC as a Technical Support Engineer for Isilon.

As part of Technical Support, Anurag has built a solid knowledge base in Isilon. “On the customer side, working and handling Isilon is really fun and easy; on the support side, the troubleshooting can be much more difficult. However, over time, I got to know the product better and can now resolve most issues.”

He describes his role: “For production to run without disruption, our customers rely heavily on the Isilon cluster to run seamlessly. When something is not working as expected, we get involved identifying and resolving the issues ASAP so that production can resume and our customer’s big projects can be completed.” Anurag’s dedication to his customers has earned him both the Excellence@EMC Bronze Award and the Cause for Applause Award for Care Values: Passion and Insane Customer Focus.

Anurag credits the EMC Proven Professional Program with helping him achieve technical expertise and gain multiple skill sets. “The training courses available on education.emc.com are excellent. They ensure that I get updated knowledge, both on the functional and technical fronts.”

In his spare time, Anurag is a travel photographer, avid gamer, and aspiring guitarist.
