Corrupt CAB Driver Files

Hello,

I am trying to extract the CAB files for the Dell Models

Dell Precision M6800

Dell Optiplex 7020

But when trying to do it, it is giving out errors in the files with the description as "Data Error in ###### "

Is there any alternate I can use to get the drivers for these to be deployed via SCCM 2012 R2 ?

Thanks

Hello Hema,

I didnt get a chance to take the snapshot but I had to download the CAB file for another Optiplex 7010 model and it came up with same error during extraction. here is the snapshot for it.

I have tried different extraction software and it was similar for all.

Please have this investigated for all 3 models at the earliest as this is affecting the production work.

Thanks alot

Vikram,

I've checked every CAB you mentioned including the 7010 Win8.1 cab and they all download and extract fine.  Also, these CABs have been available for some time and I'm not seeing other customers report this, so I have to assume that the issue is still on your end.

Warren,

At the same time, I tried downloading the WinPE 5.0 CAB file which extracted successfully. I again went for the Optiplex 7010 Win 8.1 CAB and it downloaded fine as it did earlier. but then again threw the same error.

This is not something at my end as I have only faced this issue recently with the 3 mentioned CAB files. If you have extracted the Win8.1 x64 files for Optiplex 7010 somewhere, could you share that ?

Thanks

Having the same issue since yesterday.

Trying to download the cab files for Windows 7 64 bit Precision T1700.

Downloads a little over 500MB out of 862MB and then the download failes.

Attempted this now from a computer in the US and a computer in the  UK. Same result.

Hello Hema,

I believe that is the problem that is not downloading the complete file from the Dell website. The file for Optiplex 7010 Windows 8.1, which should be 427MB, is only downloaded 173MB on the system. This is th reason the extraction is failing,

As part of the troubleshooting, I have tried downloading file from IE, Chrome and on different computers placed in different regions but its same for all.

Below is the latest snippet during extraction :

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Extracting 7010\win8.1\x64\video\YGVRN_A02-00\win8.1x64\Production\Windows8.1-x64\3277-64.inf\ig7icd32.dll
Extracting 7010\win8.1\x64\video\YGVRN_A02-00\win8.1x64\Production\Windows8.1-x64\3277-64.inf\ig7icd64.dll
Error: Unable Unable to extract file "7010\win8.1\x64\video\YGVRN_A02-00\win8.1x64\Production\Windows8.1-x64\3277-64.inf\ig7icd64.dll"
Irrecoverable Error: Cabinet is corrupt.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please check into this urgently.

Enstar and Vikram,

I've verified that both of the driver packs you are having difficulty with will download and extract correctly.  Can you provide your region and/or country so that we can review our mirror sites for errors?  Also, you can try to replace downloads.dell.com with ftp.dell.com in the download URL to see if that helps.

Sorry, have been involved in something critical, so could not respond.

Today I had to check for another CAB file for Dell Latitude E7450 and again, there were same concerns with this CAB file as well. I have tried with ftp.dell.com as well but it doesnt work.

As you asked, the country is INDIA.
