E7450 SCCM Build

Hi All,

Am having some issues trying to build an E7450 from SCCM 2012 via PXE Boot. I've imported the Dell Driver Cab for WinPE 5, and have imported the dell driver cab for the E7450. I've added the network drivers to the x64 boot image but am still having a  problem with it not picking up an IP address. To me this suggests the network drivers are wrong? has anyone got any ideas, or got a solution from when they have built them?

Thanks

The new CAB worked great! :) Thanks!

Has anyone imported the new PE CAB, then created a successfull build from the main driver CAB?  As far as I can see, the new cab just contains the updated network driver that imported 2 or 3 weeks ago to get to a working win pe state

Hi

Does the above solution apply for E7250 and E7450 loaded with Windows 7 64bit?

Please share link for new CAB file.

umk433,

The PE cab will solve a few issues we are seeing with Win PE 3.x versions. The operating system wasn't an issue so far. If you do have concerns related to Windows 7 please let us know.

The drivers should work fine for Windows 7 operating systems(x86/x64).

What about Win PE 5.0 x64?  I load the new PE CAB drivers and on a 7450 get a no network adapter found...

I'm still having issues with the NIC driver for Windows 8 x64 for the 7250 and 7450. Importing the I217-LM driver Intel allows me to PXE boot and image Windows 7 but it fails on Windows 8.

I think we all would appreciate new CABs for these models, not just the WINPE set.

Hi Dell-Sreejith D,

I've tried the Dell drivers from the site and also from Intel (whole host of network drivers) - none worked. Updated the WIM using DISM but when I deploy and it setups the boot.wim - I don't receive an IP. I've interrupted the WDS Setup process (Shift F10) and tried loading the *.inf files individually (downloaded from Dell and Intel) via USB using drvload command - no ip issued.

I used the same boot.wim for other models (E6430, E6230, E7240, E7440)

Any updated network drivers available for E7250 and E7450?

hi umk433

How have you injected the drivers, using WDS - "Add drivers" option available on boot images or using MDT workbench - out-of-box drivers?.

Which PE version would you be using? Also when you say you injected drivers from the site did you take the respective drivers for the PE you are using from this link?

en.community.dell.com/.../2065.dell-command-deploy-driver-packs-for-enterprise-client-os-deployment

When you inject drivers to the boot image, do you get any errors? Finally are you able to mount the image with DISM and see if the boot image actually contain those drivers. Alternatively you can use the "dir" command when win pe loads on the path I have mentioned, posted earlier, to check the same.

hi umk433,

One change in the command to be executed

After you have injected the driver using drvload can you please run "dir' on the below path

x:\windows\system32\drivers

The pictures in the link are broken. (http://www.dell.com/support/article/us/en/19/SLN296860/en) Maybe it is possible to fix it!?

Hi All

I am having problems with the OSD build for E7450 as well, via SCCM 2007.

I am using the driver pack CAB (YYP7T).

I have inserted the KMDF into the task sequence but still crashes on me.

Found couple of drivers that is causing me grief.

Managed to fix the first one.

Intel(R) Management Engine Components Installer (x64 chipset - 3TY1R).

Trying to fix the second one, which I have found to be the DPTF drivers.

Has anyone else had trouble with the DPTF drivers in OSD?

Thanks, DM.

Just wondering if anyone here are having problems with Intel DPTF driver?

Mine fails to install:

Intel Dynamic PLatform and Thermal Framework Manager.

It is for Win7 x64.

Chipset_Driver_66P3R_WN_8.0.10002.14_A00.EXE

This happens during OSD task sequence, and manually as well.

Thanks,

DM
