How to use sim card in my DELL XPS L501X .....?

I would like to inform you that sim card slot is available so that you can use 3g broadband on the system as well if required.

In order to make it work you need to ensure the mobile broadband application and drivers are installed on the system.

Please let us know which mobile broadband card is installed on the system so we can provide you with the relevant drivers and applications. You can also download them yourself at the link below:

thank you for responding.i have installed all drivers(Wireless 5550 HSPA Mini Card,Wireless 5620 EVDO-HSPA Mobile Broadband Mini-Card drivers) and broadband application and installed sim but no use no detection of signal or any change in computer..

can u suggest me how to check which mobile broadband card installed  ?..my device manager doesn't show any device....

Please let me know if you have installed a active 3g enabled sim card inside the system. As the card that seems to be installed inside is a dummy card only.

 I too have same problem on my dell (L502x) my sim card slot is not working..not detecting sim...

plz send me link of software to be downloaded..

i use glo network ..am in Ghana

i make lot of search and drivers download and finally i found the answer myself..

1.u need to buy WWAN Card like the 1st image..

2.and connect the card to u'r laptop WWAN slot like 2nd image

3.and remove u'r battery. connect u'r sim card in the sim card slot..

4.install the 5540 hspa mini card driver http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/DriverDetails/Product/xps-l502x?driverId=WGVYG&osCode=ww1&fileId=2935061607&languageCode=en&categoryId=CM
