Default Search Filters

When I try searching in the forums, I am finding very few results which I dont believe these are the correct results.  Later I found that the default search filter is set to This Year.  I dont think every one will change this selection whenever they want to search for some thing

Defaulting filtering for this year posts may be correct in some sense but I am sure it would not be correct especially in the start of the year.

Can EMC people can change the default filtering?
