Dell Inspirion 5482 charging issue

Did some recent Dell Updates yesterday, used my laptop today and plugged it in when it was getting low. BUT I don't think it was charging. Now, I have 1% and when I plug in my charger, the laptop turns off. It won't turn on with charger plugged in, but will without. I can leave it on for a few mins, but as soon as I plug in my charger, it turns off. Only had it 5mths.
