Recoverpoint
We're planning of using EMC RecoverpPoint for migrating data from IBM stuff ( sorry ) to EMC.
In all documentation I've seen they explain the principle but it doesn't state anything about how a server which will be connected to the replicated data will recognize the lun's as being a file system ie on AIX how do you pick-up the luns filled with data which makes up for VG's and FS's?
In our case that will even be the same server which has been using the ibm LUN's before and which will be physically moved to a different DC where it will be connected to the replicated EMC LUN's.
