Accessing FS7600 NAS vol on PS6100E from a Windows Server
I am trying to connect to a NAS volume as I would like to be able to see it as local storage and transfer files to and from it over the SAN vs our client network. The volume is hosted on a PS6100E and was created by an FS7600. Is this possible?

No, because the NAS Volume is dedicated for using by the FS. The FS creates container (CIFS, NFS or mixed typed) and than offer \\shares\ to clients. Of course a Windows Server can use a \\share\ as in the same way i client can do.
For all other kind of Volumes a iscsi initiator is needed to get access and what you'll get is block storage.
Iam not 100% sure if i understood what are you trying todo.

Mainly I am trying to move a share from its current NAS container to its own container without running over the client LAN. I figured it wasnt possible to initiate an iSCSI connection to those volumes but thought I should ask

The FS use "ExaNet" filesystem which cant be read by windows. So thx god that you cant connect directly to the NAS Volume.
Iam not sure if its possible to move a Share between containers.
