Dell EqualLogic PS6110XV expand the capacity
Hi All,
I am a newbie and want to know how Dell EqualLogic PS6110XV expands the capacity.
I have a Dell EqualLogic PS6110XV has 12 disk, running Raid 10, i want to add more 12 disk to expand the Raid.
I want to know what should I do? Thanks!

Hello,
You will need to find 12 more of the same size or larger 15K RPM drives, that are Equallogic certified for the 6110. You cannot use OEM or other Dell drives. Only drives made for the Dell PS series SAN will work.
Once you have them, stage them in the slots but do NOT fully seat them yet. Once all 12 drives are staged, then push them in one right after another without pause.
Once all the drives are online, the expansion process will begin on its own.
What version of EQL firmware does that array have?
