Dell EqualLogic SAN Headquarters service warnings

Hi,

We are getting these warnings on Dell EqualLogic SAN Headquarters service:

  • [ID: 3.23] Warning: Member EquallogicMember1 network port, eth0, cannot be reached.  Unable to obtain network performance data for the member.
  • Condition already generated an e-mail message. If the condition persists, additional messages will be sent approximately every 6 hours.
  • [ID: 1.6] The group EquallogicMember1 was added using non WKA address. Remove and add the group using a valid Group IP Address (192.168.1.2).
  • The group EquallogicMember1 was added using non WKA address. Remove and add the group using a valid Group IP Address (192.168.1.2).
  • Condition already generated an e-mail message. If the condition persists, additional messages will be sent approximately every 6 hour
In EgualLogic Group Manager we have IP address 192.168.1.5 (this is iSCSI network address) on:
Group 'EquallogicGroup1' \ Group Configuration \ General \ General Settings \ Group IP Address \ 192.168.1.5
But on:
Group 'EquallogicGroup1' \ Members \ EquallogicMember1 \ Network \ eth0 \ 192.168.1.2
Group 'EquallogicGroup1' \ Members \ EquallogicMember1 \ Network \ eth4 \ 10.10.10.9 (management role only).
Could it be related, and how to fix this?
Thanks,

5 Practitioner

In the GUI, Select Member->Network.  Check the last interface.   It should show restricted to Mangament.  The verbage depends on the firmware version and array model

Instructions on setting it up are in the online help via the GUI as well.

the problem is that I can access iSCSI network 192.168.1.0/24 from SAN HQ server and can access 192.168.1.6 EqualLogic in the same network but can not access 192.168.1.2 EgualLogic storage on same network. As SAN HQ server has firewall off could it be that we have some access lists on Equallogic?

Thanks

It's not a problem with access lists. Access lists are just for volume access.   When you set the ETH4 IP address did you configure "Dedicated Management" or did you just set the IP address to that LAN subnet?
