There are currently three MS KBs that once installed result in iSCSI login failures with Dell PS Series arrays
Server 2019 -- KB4497934
Server 2016 --KB4499177
Server 2016 --KB4503267 - Released June 11
At this time the only resolution is to remove the KB and iSCSI logins will complete.

Don
Any update on this?
Hello,
No other than Dell has been investigating and so far has found no array side issue to explain this.
Strongly suggest opening a case with MS as well. Increase the visibility of the problem to them.

Don
Dell and Microsoft are aware of the issue and are working on it. For the time being all that can be done is remove the KBs in question and wait for Microsoft to issue the fixed update.
Hello Kayden,
Correct, as both threads on this indicate. I only added this thread when a 3rd KB also may cause the issue.

Don
Confirmed removing both KB4499177 and KB4503267 from Windows Server 2016 v1607 restored a working iSCSI connection to our PS-M4110 SAN. I am running the server in an ESXi 6.5 environment.
Previously Event ID 43 from iScsiPrt filled the event log: "Target failed to respond in time for a login request."
Thank you for posting this.
Hello,
You are very welcome! Glad you were able to get back online.

Don
So has anyone experienced removing these updates not fixing the problem? I have a couple of servers that are still experiencing issues after removing these updates. I actually rebuilt one of them, and it is still having problems.
One of my Server 2012 R2 servers is also showing the same issues. They worked fine up until patches.
One of the SAN's is a 6100, and one is a 6000.
Hello,
I would open a support case for this. And look for any other KBs at the time of the problem. First issues were reported in the May time frame and again with some June KB releases.
I also just posted this thread about KB4503294
