HIT Kit for Windows 2019 Server

Hi, is there an HIT Kit for Windows Server 2019 ?

I noticed that version 5.1 does not include Windows 2019.

Thanks Golan

Hello,

That is correct.  v5.1 came out long before 2019.   It is targeted for the next version of the HIT/ME software.  No ship date for that has been announced.

 Regards,

Don

Hi Don (hopefully)

Any further word on when the next release of the HIT/ASM is?

It's been over 6 months now since the general availability of Server 2019...

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

Re: 5.1. Does not support 2019.  The next release of HIT/ME is slated to support 2019.

There is not published date for that release at this time.

 Regards,

Don

Hello,

Future roadmap info can only be released under an NDA.

Please contact your sales representative to get one in place.

Don

same here since I just nuked our new 2019 servers and installed 2016 on them due to "compatibility issues"..

Hello,

That is correct.  A version supporting 2019 has not been released yet.  A release date has not yet been announced.

Don

Any update on this?  I'll get in contact with my sales rep too, but the lack of 2019 support for our rather large EQL investment has me shying away from further Dell/EMC storage purchases this year.

Hello,

Since no release date has been announced it can't be given out without an NDA in effect.

I know that's not the answer you were looking for but I would not expect it to be much longer.

Regards,

Don

Hello,

Support for Server 2019 is coming soon.

re: Move off.  Long term sure.  The PS Series is now End-of-Sale, and end-of-life.

So proper life cycle planning and migration, should be implemented soon.

E.g. the SC line of SANs can replicate to and from the PS Series, so that makes the PS a good option for DR sites or backup vaults to continue getting value from the PS SAN.

  Regards,

Don

"The PS Series is now End-of-Sale, and end-of-life."??

Are we expected to replace our infrastructure every 3 years?

We haven't even had our ps4210 for 3 years yet.
