PS group membership with FS7610

No they are not the same as an array member.  They get their storage from the group they are attached to.  They don't have any storage on their own.

A single FS which joins a EQL Group takes its NAS Reserve from a single pool. If the members of that pool cant deliver more than 509TB of storage the pool is the "bottleneck". With 8 PS65xx you can serve 8x105TB from a single pool. But for that you need to add a 2nd. Node to the existing FS Cluster to reach the limit from 840TB.

With todays 3TB drives you cant reach the limit of 2xFS.

Questions:

- Is it possible that a 2nd. or 3rd. FS can create a NAS Reserve from a different pool? I dont think that because most likly there is only one "name space" per EQL Group supportet.

So... settings up a 2nd. EQL group which is independent from the first one gives you another 509-840TB file space. But keep in mind that this is a new name space.

Ok I did not realize there is pool member limit that differs froim theach e group member limit (16). I have just found a chart that shows max pool members is 8. So question is can I have 2 pools with say 5x  6510s (in the same group) and then deploy 2 x FS7610 into that group, i.e 1 for each pool of 5.
