Update PS6100 SAN and ESX 5.5
I am currently in the planning phase of updating our SAN (PS6100 ver6.0.6) and our Vmware Environment (5.0). My plan is to first update the SAN to 7.0.2 then update Vmware to 5.5. But according to Dell Compatibility Guide the SAN firmware 7.0.2 is not compatible with Vmware 5.0.
Has anyone update their SAN to this version and are currently running Vmware 5.0?? Just trying to see if there is going to be an issues. I am planning on spacing out the update over a couple of weeks.
Any advice would be appreciated in the matter.
Thanks
Conny

vSphere 5.0 is probably not 'incompatible' with the 7.0.x firmware, but just not tested (due to the age of the OS (Dell seems to typically only test the latest version (5.5) and one version back (5.1)).
If you want to play it safe, you'd upgrade your vCenter and hosts first, but I'm pretty comfortable saying that you can upgrade the array firmware to 7.0.2 without running into issues with the hosts.
