Upgrade path for Dell VSM 3.5.3.10 > 4.7
Good Afternoon Ladies and Gents, I am currently planning an upgrade for Dell VSM, The current version is 3.5.3.10 and we are looking to go to version 4.7.0 for VMware 6.5 support. Im struggling to find an upgrade path anywhere, I am aware i could recreate the VM using the OVA but we are trying to save on recreating our replication jobs unless absolutley necessary. Is anyonw aware of any issues this may cause or have any experience upgrading from significantly different version numbers?

Hello,
The VSM Admin guide shows you what versions you can upgrade to/from. In Table 2 of the 4.7 Guide it only shows from 4.6 to 4.7.
So you would have to upgrade in steps several times to get to 4.7. Might be easier to just redeploy 4.7.
Looks like 3.5.x -> 4.0.2->4.5.x->4.6.x->4.7.x.
You might be able to do 4.5.x to 4.7.x. but I don't know that for sure.
