ethernet speed less than 1GB

hi all,

for those who use equallogic san headquarters, it shows that the three ethernet ports on my ps500e have about 100MB/s speed each while it is supposed to have 1GB/sec since all of them connect to a 1GB switch (Netgear). It uses CAT6 ethernet cable.  The total speed reported is 300MB/s (3 X 100MB) for all of the three ethernets (eth0,eth1,eth2).

i am confused with the incorrect speed reported. is there a setting that I miss ?

regards,

darwin

That is 1 gigabit (Gb) not 1 gigabyte (GB), when you are utilizing a 1 Gb connection for iSCSI you can get roughly 100 megabytes (MB) of throughput per second. 1Gb equals roughly 100MB/s of throughput.
