ps6010 cpu and nvram info and statistics

Hi,

We have a Dell Equallogic Ps6010 in our office and we would like to know the CPU as well as memory information in the system, is there anyway to get this information? Also, we also like to investigate the CPU usage when we run some test on this storage, is there any tool like sysstat (Netapp) that we can use to capture those information? Thanks.

Re: ps6010 cpu and nvram info and statistics

Good morning,

No, there's no way to monitor the internal stats like CPU, cache, etc..

What you do want, is SANHQ.   That will tell you how the array(s) are doing and provide much more important information than CPU, RAM usage.   Given the design, a simple CPU/MEM graph wouldn't provide you with relevant information.   This is especially true in multimember groups.

What you care about is how the array(s) are handling the IO load under the various circumstances.  That's what SANHQ provides.

SANHQ is a free download on the Equallogic Support Website.
