Accessing the PowerVault MD3000 interface
We have a new customer that has an MD3000 connected to 2 Dell PowerEdge 2970s running Redhat. There seems to be a problem with the array, but we cannot find any way to access the MD3000 to run diagnostics. I was able to bring up a VxWorks login via telnet, but do not have user name or password.
From looking at Dell's sales site for the MD3000, it appears that there should be a GUI of some sort on the unit, but I cannot access it via browser or RDC.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

There is a client called MDSM (Modular Disk Storage Manager) - it connects through the IP interface and manages the MD3000. Here's the Users Guide for MDSM - http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/md3000/en/2ndGen/UG/PDF/UGA00MR2g.pdf
Here's link to resource CD with MDSM - http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/download.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&releaseid=R242360&SystemID=PWV_MD3000&servicetag=&os=RHEL5&osl=en&deviceid=10993&devlib=0&typecnt=0&vercnt=6&catid=-1&impid=-1&formatcnt=1&libid=52&typeid=-1&dateid=-1&formatid=-1&fileid=350383
Ugh, such ugly long URLs - http://bit.ly/4m6DXz
Hope that helps.

Turns out that the array is fine, it is a RedHat multipath issue.
Thanks again!
