How to speed up EqualLogic RAID mogration?

Dear Expert,

Dose there have any specific method to control the resource of system when we migrate online from RAID10 to RAID5? For example, I wish I can set 70% system resource for migration and 30% for service, etc. Thanks!

Hi Claytonli -- Since RAID migration is generally a maintenance task not performed on a regular basis, we don't run into this question that often. Your best bet is to run it as a background task so that critical application IO is guaranteed to get serviced... . You should consider performing RAID migration during a maintenance window, or while normal user activity is very low, such as off-hours, which will also help make it complete more quickly.
