9100 LCD Blank after splash screen

After installing SP2, My Laptop 9100 would go into a reboot cycle. I could only stop this by booting into safe mode. I tried to reinstall XP Pro but it would hang. So I reformatted the HD and reinstalled Win XP Pro and when I loaded the Video drivers and when I reboot I have a Blank LCD screen, Sometimes it is a pink or blue color. I upgraded the video bios and the latest drivers and still the same problem. I have checked the suspend button and found nothing wrong. This is the second computer using ATI graphics that has done this. I would appreciated any input as to what I can do. Calling Dell with my Gold support is a joke......I am placed on hold for over 30 minutes while a non english speaking rep tries to get me to reinstall my drivers....been there and done that. Need some other help if anyone can help me. Thanks
