Bad LCD or Inverter on Inspiron 1150
My problem is then when my Inspiron 1150 laptop boots up the LCD will come on for a split second then goes dark,But not to the point were you can't see the image on the screen . You need the help of another light source shinning on it. I have no control with the FN buttons to control the brightness, But I can plug another monitor into the LT and it works. Is the LCD bad or is it something else..Thanks in advance

Thanks...So then It would be just easier to find another LCD.. Or can this be repaired rather easily????

It's most likely the backlight bulb on a system of this age.

Cost with labor should run $100-150, or about what a used screen will cost - with of course the knowledge you have a new bulb, vs. a bulb of unknown origin in a used panel.
