Brand new 3162- battery/indicator acting funky

Great looking laptop I bought today but a couple of battery issues. Not sure if these mean something seriously wrong or are minor issues.

1. The battery does not seem to charge above 99%. For the last 30 minutes, the indicator says "1 minute to full charge".

2. When unplugged, the "battery time remaining" goes wildly up and down by the minute. For example, it was at 98% and said it had 6.5 hours left. A few minutes later, it was at 96% and the time remaining had shot up to 8 hours! A few minutes later, it was down to 6.5 hours again.

I did run Troubleshooting for Power, and it said there were no issues.
