CPU upgrade
Hi guys, i have a DELL INSPIRON 1525 CELERON 540 1.86GHZ, 533, and im wanting to know if i can have the cpu upgraded to something a bit faster at all? If so what options can i look at? thanks :emotion-2:

would i need to go to dell for the cpu? apparantly the cpu's are hard to come by ?

Would i need to keep it as a Celeron or can i go straight to an intel chip ?

would i also need to worry about what socket type , like the desktop versions ect. ? if it even has sockets i need to be worried about :P

Celerons ARE Intel CPUs. You can use the Core 2 Mobile - NOT Desktop - CPU.

Any of the 800 MHz bus Core 2 Duos (Socket P) will work. The 1066 MHz bus ones won't, nor will the newer Core i7.
