Class 50 Drives - Precision 7720

Just ordered a Dell Precision 7720 with three Class 50 512GB SSDs. What are the current options I might get? Looks like Samsung or Toshiba? Also are the NVME slots are 4x rather than 2x? Wasn't able to find out for sure searching.

Thanks, Wayne

Samsung and Toshiba to my knowledge.  Samsung is basically the OEM equivalent of the 960 Evo (or maybe Pro?) and I think the Toshiba SSD is the XG4?  Class 50 SSDs are basically the fastest SSDs on the market.

And yes, the slots are wired as x4.  Note that on some lower-end systems, the slots are x4 but set in GT2 mode rather than GT4, which effectively limits them to x2 bandwidth.  I do NOT think that's the case with the 7720 since even the 5520 uses an x4 slot in GT4 mode.  Benchmarks of 960 Evos in that system show the unit delivering its full 3+ GBps read speeds.
