Dell Inspiron 15-3543 won't boot
I hard reset (held power button down) my laptop and it wont boot. The laptop was froze when i reset it, so that might be why. Ive tried letting it repair itself for 12+ hours but nothing has changed. I dont think theres a problem with it, it just wont seem to boot.

Run an extended diagnostic on the system - in particular, on the hard drive. F12 at powerup.

Didn't work, got this error.
Hard Drive 0 - Short self test unnsuccesful
Error code: 20000-0142

There's your answer - your hard drive has failed. If the system is under warranty, call Dell with the exact error and validation code. If not, you'll need to purchase a new hard drive for the system.
