Dell Laptop Inspiron 5520, 8 beeps on startup, black screen
Hi all,
I have Dell Laptop Inspiron 5520. When I turn on my laptop a black screen appears. I hear 8 beeps in the background. The process continues until I press the power button again. After going through the internet I found out that 8 beeps signal LCD failure. I have tried all the temporary solutions such as running Dell LCD Self Built In Diagnosis. However the issue keeps coming back. Furthermore, Dell LCD Self Built in Diagnostic doesn't work anymore. Please recommend me a more permanent solution to this problem.

Hi Ahmed95,
I would suggest you to update the BIOS on your system to check for issue resolution. Please enter your service tag # on the link below, select the OS, then download the BIOS from BIOS section onto the system and install it.
