Dell Latitude D830 does not detect memory card in slot B
I have 1 gig ram and tried to put a 2 gig card in the B slot but the laptop does not detect any changes what can i do?

See if the module works in Slot A. If it doesn't, it's faulty or incompatible. If it does, but won't work in B, the socket is bad. In the former case, replace the module. In the latter, you'll have to replace the system board.
