Dell XPS 17 (L702x) Webcam and Microphone problems.
Hey,
My XPS has been having many problems recently. The first was that the Integrated webcam Can't be found anyway and says its not plugged in. The second was that games are having FPS problems now. The final problem is that the microphone can be found but can't be used to record.
Any suggestions?

No, i haven't I image restored my laptop thinking it would help, but no luck.

The easiest way to test on XPS 17 is using F12 during the boot and test internal mic in diagnostic. However I have tested it and it worked fine there but it wasn't when system boot up. I reinstalled the drivers still nothing.
Finally I recalled that I pushed my headphones into the mic jack accidentally night before! The headphones were not there any more but there is a small switch in this jack (which disconnects the internal mic when external one is plugged in) and it got stuck. I pushed the headphones into the same (mic) jack hole again and took it out - switch had to get back as now everything is working fine.
