(Did Windows Update last night) Windows Starting, then fails

Hello

I performed the windows update last night before i went to bed and then when i woke up i tried to turn my computer on and everything started up as normal, but when it got to the windows starting screen it took a particularly long time and then it just rebooted and came up with the option to repair the computer. I have tried several different things including system restore, which didnt work because of a problem with a driver?

Any ideas whats wrong or how to fix it?

i think if you have done everything possible then use system repair disk if you have it or apply system restore.

i had this the other night

When it eventually gets into windows its slow, unresponsive.. found that the explorer.exe was hanging out all the time, used task manager to kill explorer.exe then in task manager went to File -> New Task(run) -> type explorer.exe then click ok... explorer window restarted without any problem and i was able to backup my data and do a "system restore" or maybe in your case a fully factory reset.

Dont know its thats any help to you but it certainly help me.
