E4310 Power ON problem, Blinking power and battery light only.
My latitude E4310 cannot power up after a week of not used.
I bought the laptop in 2010 and its working fine until this year. Last 2 months, it began to display a hard disk failure warning that says I need to replace the hdd before its totally unusable. After a week I replaced the hdd with new seagate 320gb and re-installed the os and the drivers. After the installation, the problem in power-up began. In the beginning of the problem, the laptop will power up after 3 to 5 tries. I already updated the BIOS and some drivers but still the problem exist and after a week that I did not use the laptop, now I can't power it up even the battery is full and the charger was plugged.
Please anybody can help me what to do?

Hi,
Welcome to the Community. Remove the Battery and AC adapter, press and hold the power button for 15 seconds. Connect the AC adapter alone and try and power on. I also recommend that you check for bent pins or broken plastics on the right USB ports on your laptop.
If you have an active warranty, send me a private message, by clicking on my user name, add me as a friend, and send me your service tag, phone number and address.
Thank you

Hello Royan,
Thank you for the fast response.
I tried what you have suggested but unfortunately it doesn't work.
The status now is after I plug the AC adapter w/o battery and press on, the power, hdd, battery and wifi light will turn on and the dvd writer light will blink, after that the power light will turn off and the battery light will continue to blink for around 22 times and after that the laptop will totally shutdown.
My warranty was already expired.

I am having a very similar issue. I cannot get into Bios, only a black screen, with the same lights flashing in the same sequence. Is there any resolution for this issue?

remove the battery and power, then remove the hard drive.
plug in power adapter only and see if the laptop powers up, if it does then fault is with either the HDD or HDD controller on the motherboard which will mean replacing the motherboard.
