Error Code 0F00:1332 on a Inspiron 2200

Had a read error on the hard drive when booting up, replaced the hard drive no joy, ran the dell diagnostic software which returned,
Test Results : Fail
Error Code 0F00:1332
Msg: Block 127: Timeout Waiting for IRQ.
This error is displayed many times with different block no's.
(since tested old hard drive which booted up ok)
Can anyone tell me if this is hardware fault or software & solution

If you tested only one drive and it reported this, the drive has failed. If you tried two different drives and got the same thing, the drive controller is probably what has failed (which means you need to call Dell for a replacement mainboard).
