How to use touchpad to scroll through a page?

I have a few Sony laptops and they allow you to scroll through a page (ie Word or IE7) if you drag your finger on the very right side of the touchpad downwards. Quite a neat feature which I use quite a lot.

I even kind of remember that the XPS notebooks have the same thing.

Did I unintentionaly disable that functionality? or is it just not there?

Do you have the latest drivers for the touchpad?  If you do, then maybe it is turned off.  Go into the touchpad properties either through the taskbar icon or the control panel and turn the scrolling option on.
