INSPIRON 1564 CRACKED SCREEN REPLACEMENT

The part number is on the back of the screen.  Make sure you get an exact replacement.

My Laptop is a: Dell Inspiron1564. Model No: 1564-4532. Dell Service Tag: , screen Number BT156GW01 V.4. I need to replace my broken screen. To date I have tried 3 different but supposedly compatible screens. Not sure of the serial number of the first screen I received from Laptop Adaptors, but it was a 1564 LED HD WLED. The 2nd from Laptop Adaptors was a N156BGE -L21 Rev C1 screen. The 3 rd screen was an LP156WH4 (TL)(N2). All of these did work but the colours were not displayed correctly. See attached pictures on skydrive. I need to know how where to order a BT156GW01 V.4 or compatible screen.

If you have not yet done so, verify that an image on an external screen is perfect. If it is not, the video cable or chip could be at fault.

Dell offers the following LCD with the Inspiron1564 system:

15.6-inch WLED HD+TL

The part number for the LCD screen is YCDFH.

If the computer has active warranty I shall go ahead and arrange for a service to replace the part.

Been a while since last talked, but been trying to get a matching replacement screen. Tried 4 supposed compatible, but all had same colour distortion problem.  I did eventually talk to Dell and received the following regards the screen I needed. See below:

I didnt go ahead because the price was double what anybody was asking. But seems I have no choice but to order from Dell. Can you advise how I should place this order.

Hi, still struggling to get replacement screen and just been quoted £118 from upgrade.co.uk, which includes packaging and VAT. Laptop details are:
