Inspiron 1525 delete key

Frustrated with this key as it only does 1 character at a time, can this be fixed so it is a normal delete key?? Reprogrammed?  Windows OS.

Re: Inspiron 1525 delete key

Do you mean if you hold it down, it does not repeat and delete more characters?  Do other keys have normal repeat behavior?  Have you checked the keyboard properties in the control panel to make sure the repeat delay and repeat rate are set to your preference?

Re: Inspiron 1525 delete key

Delete key on Inspiron 1525 has several functions undo, delete, cut etc.  I find it strange, not to be able to hit delete and delete as many characters I want to by holding it down, this makes me have to ask for each letter/character to be delete, well make a choice....is there another way to delete on these keyboards?

Re: Inspiron 1525 delete key

When I want to delete more than a few characters I usually highlight them all, then hit the delete key (or Backspace key).
