Inspiron 1720 laptop goes to a black screen

Inspiron 1720 laptop goes to a black screen. Rebooted. Power goes on and still black screen. Rebooted. Boots up and I hit F2 to get into BIOS. I get into the BIOS and a couple of seconds later.....Voila!!!! Black Screen!! So, anyone know if it's the Video card,the power inverter for the screen, the Motherboard, the BIOS or what??
