Inspiron 3521 touchscreen suddenly stopped working but not seeing any fixes from Dell?
Hey, I have a Inspiron 15 3521 running windows 8.1 and touch screen just stopped working. I tried updating drivers and downgrading drivers but no luck. Tried Windows 10 but no change. Tried adjusting power mgmt. settings and no change. It seems like it is not detecting the touch screen and HID is hidden so no option it enable or disable. Diagnostic does not see the device so does not attempt to run.
There are tons of posts on this issue but I can't find any resolution. Can anyone provide a fix? A touch screen generally shouldn't just stop working and with all the issues I am thinking it is some sort of Dell or hardware issue?
