Inspiron 5150 - 3 lights on the front flicker
System specifications:
Inspiron 5150, 15 in,SXGA+B,P4, 3.06GHz, HT
64MB nVidia Geforce FX Go5200, for Inspiron 5150
Microsoft Windows XP
When I plug-in the charger the 3 lights on the front flicker , until the charger is removed. The lights will flicker REGARDLESS of whether or not the battery is installed.and the laptop is not starting at all.
Is it a hardware damage?Does it worth to fix the problem or is it better to buy a new laptop?

Remove the battery - if it'll start up without the battery installed, you know the cause.
If that does nothing, try another adapter.
Still nothing? Bad mainboard - time for a new system; this one is not worth doing a major repair on.
