Leave computers on all day or turn on/off
We have two new computers = Alienware 17 R4 and XPS AIO 27 7760. Is it better for the overall performance and life of the computers to leave them on all day or turn them on and off as needed - maybe three to four times in a typical day? I am aware of the sleep functions but others in the household mistake sleep for off and use the on/off button which I fear will cause an improper shut down.

Turn off (or allow to go to sleep) when not needed -- notebooks (and all in ones, which are more like notebooks inside than desktops) are not designed for 24/7 duty cycles.
