M1330 synaptics touch pad???

Hello everyone. I am considering buying a new XPS M1330 and was wondering if this works. I was told that it is fitted with a synaptics touchpad, and you can install a driver from synaptics that will allow you to customize almost every aspect of the touchpad. I was almost going to buy a sony because the SZ series has the ability to page forward/back using the touchpad. I would like a Dell, but people keep telling me that there is no way to page forward/back like the sony. Has anybody tried to install this driver on a M1330???? Does it work????
